What are the exclusions?
Health
Any condition which has led to a claim during an earlier trip.
Pre-existing health conditions
Any health condition which started before the start of your insurance, until one year after the last treatment.
Foreseen circumstances
Any circumstance which was likely for you to make a claim at the start of the policy or when the trip was booked.
Medical complications
Resulting from a pregnancy or childbirth if you are, or would have been, pregnant for seven months or longer during a trip.
Exposure to danger
Deliberate exposure to exceptional danger (except in an attempt to save human life).
High-risk activities

Rules to become insured with Nomad Assistance:
  • You are domiciled in Belgium and live here at least 9 months/year
  • You have not yet started your trip
  • Your trips are not longer than 90 or 180 days (subject to plan choice)
  • High risk activities are not covered (eg. jet skiing, diving, etc.)
  • Trips in Belgium are covered if at least one night accommodation is booked before the start of the trip
  • You don’t already have a reason to make a claim
  • You were never denied an abduction insurance in the past (to be eligible for the disaster response coverage)

    • If you have any health condition which started before the start of your insurance, it is not covered until a period of one year has passed during which you have not required any treatment.
